- English Proficiency Test Scores are not required but are highly recommended. We recommend students send placement
test scores such as: TOEFL, IELTS, Eiken, Sakai, GTEC-CBT, or Duolingo English Proficiency

* Health Sciences Applicants must also submit each of the following:
- ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER Scores (Students must meet the minimum score requirements to be admitted.)
- High School Equivalency Diploma or accredited evaluation of high school transcript (Note: For a list of approved agencies, see Foreign Transcripts)
- Dental Hygiene applicants: you must also submit your DANB certification
Nursing applicants:
- You will need to submit two admissions application forms – 1) an application for the Nursing program for your intended start term (Winter term or Summer term), and 2) an application for the Arts & Sciences program for a start term that is two terms prior to your intended Nursing start term (in order for you to complete general education courses while also completing the required CNA exam for the State of Iowa – see CNA information below).
- You must also complete CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) training and successfully pass the written and skills examination for the State of Iowa. Students will need to submit their Iowa Direct Care Registry CNA card.
- You must also pass the TEAS exam. Information can be found on our Testing Center webpage.
**Note: At the discretion of the Director of International Affairs, students may be required
to submit documents to an Education USA Advisor for certification prior to mailing
materials to the Indian Hills International Affairs Office, or they may be required
to have their high school transcript evaluated by an accredited agency (even if they
are not a Health Sciences applicant). A TOEFL score is not required for admission
into Indian Hills Community College. Once your application is complete, your file
will be reviewed. Careful attention must be given to the completion of all appropriate
documents, as incomplete or improperly completed items will result in a delay in processing
your application.
