Will this program help prepare me to successfully take the national pharmacy technician certification exam?

Answer:

Yes, this program is designed to prepare students to successfully take the certification exam.

 

Question:

Will we meet as a class for this program?


Answer:

Most of the program can be completed online. There are a few courses that are a hybrid format and will require students to meet at the Ottumwa campus a few times throughout the program.  Additionally, students are required to complete their professional experience in various pharmacies during the summer term.

 

Question:

Will I be able to work in a pharmacy while in this program?

Answer:

Yes, you will register as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee when you enter the program, allowing you to work in a pharmacy while completing your training. Once you pass the certification exam you will become a certified pharmacy technician.
