Manage the turfgrass, equipment, and facilities of a golf course. Lead the charge for parks and conservation efforts. Groom athletic fields for the big leagues (or little leagues). Open your own nursery, garden center, or greenhouse. Start a lawn care or landscaping business.

Clear the Path!

Are you ready to get started? We are! So roll up your sleeves. There’s a lot of ground to cover in this seven-term program.

Dig into the fundamentals of soil, flowers, trees, shrubs and turfgrass. Jump into pond and fountain maintenance. Suit up for a crash course in operating and maintaining state-of-the-art equipment. And don’t forget to strap on your goggles as you explore the science behind it all.

And don’t worry about being stuck inside all day. We’ve got athletic fields, landscaped flower and shrub beds, ponds with water features, greenhouses, and even a golf hole to grow your experience beyond the classrooms and laboratories.

 

What you will learn:
  • Identify, operate, and maintain power equipment
  • Analyze, design, and install landscaping materials
  • Identify and manage plant material, insects, and diseases
  • Identify and manage greenhouse structures and crops
  • Identify soil types, amendments and pesticides
  • Obtain state pesticide applicator certification along with other optional industry certifications
