By taking the Indian Hills Commercial Driving Program, in just six short weeks you could be making $50,000 or more. Each year, Indian Hills offers eight standard six–week courses and two nine–week weekend courses, both for 10 college credits. The standard courses meet for six weeks, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The weekend courses meet for nine weekends, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

What you will learn:

Entry-Level Driver Training Requirements: 

  • Proper driving techniques for commercial vehicles
  • Proper backing procedures for combination vehicles
  • Map reading, trip planning and scheduling
  • Proper communication skills
  • Road etiquette

  • CDL Permit
  • Certified Copy of your Motor Vehicle Report
  • DOT Physical

Federal DOT requires (Part 391.11.b.2) that students can read and speak in the English language sufficiently. As a result, students will be subject to taking the ESL ACCUPLACER Exam at the start of the program and must score an Advanced Level to continue.
