Vision:

Building a thriving culture of philanthropy that supports student learning and sustains the position of the College as a leader and innovator.

Mission:

Indian Hills Community College Foundation exists to support the comprehensive mission of the College by providing additional resources necessary to ensure student and community success. The Foundation will enhance the College and broaden its base of support through raising funds, building partnerships, and advocating for students and the College.

The Indian Hills Foundation provides scholarships annually to hundreds of students, receiving strong support from the college's faculty and staff, as well as from the surrounding community.

The Indian Hills Foundation was organized in 1973 and initiated a district–wide fundraising campaign in 1975. The Foundation provides scholarships to hundreds of students each year. Since 1975, 20,539 students have received scholarships totaling more than $20.5 million. In fiscal year 2020, the Foundation awarded $1.6 million in scholarships to over 800 students.

The staff and faculty of Indian Hills Community College strongly support the Foundation. Many staff and faculty make an annual donation to the Foundation, and this year's total is slightly more than $55,000. Funds raised through the annual Employee Giving campaign are used to fund student scholarships at IHCC.

The Foundation accepts and manages gifts and donations for the betterment of the college and its students. It also provides appropriate tax advantages for donors. Contributions are deductible on itemized State of Iowa and federal income tax returns to the extent allowable by law.
