Transitioning to college is a challenging time for most students; it can be even more challenging for students with disabilities. We’re here to help. The office of Student Disability Services collaborates with students to empower them to be their own best advocates.
We strive to provide clear, timely information to our students, and work with faculty to meet the needs of all Indian Hills Community College students. We provide support to students with disabilities in reaching academic goals and work to ensure equal access to educational opportunities through support services and reasonable accommodations.
Because disability information is confidential, students requesting accommodations
need to self-identify. We ask that students contact our office as soon as possible
so we can work together in determining eligibility and coordinating services. We are
located in the Pothoven Academic Success Center on the Main Campus in Ottumwa and
in the Success Center on the Centerville Campus.
