As a dental assistant, you will be in a fast-paced atmosphere where you will work chairside with the dentist and even be qualified to perform some dental procedures yourself, such as taking impressions or fabrication of mouth-guards!   • Assist with all dental procedures performed in a private dental practice and the instrumentation for each
  • Expose and evaluate dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Sterilization and Disinfection
  • Digital software and business office procedures
  • Fabrication of oral appliances such as whitening trays and mouth guards

PUBLIC NOTICE

Indian Hills Community College accreditation site visit from the Commission on Dental Accreditation for the Dental Assisting Program is September 27th-28th, 2022.  Any member of the public wishing to make a comment or complaint regarding the accreditation process may direct them to the commission in writing to 211 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611.  The comments must be signed, but signatures will be removed prior to forwarding them to the program.  All comments and complaints must be received by July 29th, 2022 and must pertain only to the standards used in the accreditation process.  The accreditation standards and the Commission’s policy on third-party comments may be obtained by contacting the Commission at 211 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611 or by calling 1-800-621-8099 ext. 4653.
