RESIDENCE HALLS:

Students on the Ottumwa campus have the opportunity to live in double-occupancy, apartment-style, or super single units in one of the five residence halls: 

Appanoose Hall  
Keokuk/Mahaska Hall  
Oak Hall  
Trustee Hall
Wapello Hall


Students on the Centerville campus are housed in a co–ed dorm with double–occupancy rooms or apartment-style residence halls. 

Traxler Hall
Cooper Creek Hall


Amenities:

Indian Hills has on–campus housing on both the Ottumwa and Centerville campuses. All residence halls are air–conditioned and have shower, restroom, and free laundry facilities. Cable television boxes are available, wireless internet access, and phone service are also provided. All residence halls are non–smoking. Rooms range from modern, apartment–style units to traditional double–occupancy.

Housing Amenities

Residence Halls at Indian Hills are supervised by professional staff who live in each residence hall buildings. Safety and security are high priorities and the college has full–time security officers patrolling the Ottumwa campus. The Centerville residence hall is patrolled by the evening maintenance crew and the Centerville Police Department.

Applying for Housing:

Applications can be accessed by clicking the housing application link below. You will be directed to Indian Hills Community College eRezLife page, complete the account activation, and follow the prompts to complete your housing application. Deposits can only be made through the students WIN account. 

Housing Application

No applications will be processed until both the application and deposit are received by the Housing Office.

RA Application

Interested in becoming a Resident Assistant? Being an RA provides you with valuable work and life experience while you are still a college student. As an RA, you will have the opportunity to increase your understanding of people, develop leadership skills, help plan social and educational programs, solve group conflicts, and learn how to be an advocate for students. It's a great first step to building the skills needed to be successful in your professional career after college. For any questions about being an RA, please email [email protected]. Meal Plans:

Meal plans are required for all room contracts. Morning, noon, and evening meals are served Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday options include noon and evening meals served on the Ottumwa campus, and weekend meal packages and individual meals on the Centerville campus. Learn more about meal plans.

Being one of the best community colleges in Iowa means we go the extra mile to take care of all your needs. That’s why everyone living on campus selects a meal plan. Meal will be served at the Hills Kitchen for the Ottumwa campus, the cafeteria located in the Workforce Training Center at the North Campus, or the Barn for the Centerville campus. Students also have access to the Hills Cafe at the Ottumwa Campus.
