This unique workshop, offered through a collaboration between local economic developers (Iowa South) and Indian Hills Community College, provides educators with tools to assure that K-12 students are being taught the essential knowledge and skills as well as guidance to prepare them for the workplace of today and tomorrow.
Participants will gain exposure to diverse workplaces in the region, meet industry leaders, and develop an understanding of current and future workforce trends and job-seeking skills needed.
Audience Experience
Participants will experience two days of tours and presentations at area businesses and industries, focusing on the future content of technology and the needs of the changing workforce.
Target Audience: K-12 teachers, counselors and administrators are encouraged to attend.

Workshop Information
- Begins every day at Indian Hills Community College. More information will be sent to participants
- $60 per session which includes 1-recertification credit. Participants are eligible to earn up to 4 credits, by choosing 4 unique sessions. Not eligible for credit if you took unique session last year. Lunch & materials are included in the fee
- Masks will be provided, and closed-toe shoes and casual business attire is required
- Some tours/presentations will be virtual
